Sometimes it's okay....right?

Sometimes it's okay...

-that the TV is on ALL DAY
-that the house is not clean
-that 2 baskets full of clean clothes lie on my bedroom floor for a week
-when the baby cries while I finish the dishes
-to find half a peanut butter sandwich under the computer desk
-to return library book late and pay the fine
-when my kids wear their pajamas for two days straight....with out a bath
-to wrap Christmas presents in birthday wrapping because you just don't want to go back to the store
-to give the kids Oreos right before dinner

right?

Harry Potter and the Pirate

Stef and Chris were here for a couple hours yesterday and brought all kinds of fun things. They had presents for everyone, but the best one was the inflatable playland for the kids. Don't worry, they bought extra balls, so now there are 170 floating around our apartment. The kids seriously LOVE it, so I don't even care that there are balls everywhere.
I didn't get any pictures of Stef or Chris and I'm feeling really bad now because we probably won't see them again until Spring. Bummer. All day today Kenzie has been asking, "Where Chris Go, Mom. " (sorry Stef-Chris is the favorite!) Thanks for coming by guys! We LOVE YOU!

Just a cute picture I took of my 3 adorable children.

The other day Boson and Kenzie were playing in their room and I heard Boston say, "Here Kenz, I am Harry Potter and you are the pirate." This is what they were dressed like when I went in to check on them.

Lately...

I didn't think that I was busy. But, every time I sit down at the computer I don't have enough time to create a new blog post before someone needs something. Here's hoping I can finish this one before something comes up. :)
***As if to prove my point for me-just as I was putting the smiley face on the end of that sentence I was called away by baby Kai and here I am....back.....2 hours later. ***

The past couple weeks have been full of things like----
~Boston getting croup
~Kenzie getting croup from him
~Kai getting it from her
~Buying a new vacuum filter and then as soon as I put it in the vacuum something different broke on it, so we can't vacuum at all. Awesome.
~Buying Christmas presents
~Doing LOTS of Laundry
~Ward Christmas party
~Sam's work Christmas party
~Putting up and decorating the Christmas tree (without taking pictures because my memory card was full and the hard drive on our computer was full too, so I didn't have anywhere to download them.)
~Buying an external hard drive
~Partaking in a wonderful "how to use your computer" lesson, taught by Matt, in which I learned we didn't really NEED the external hard drive, we just needed to do some house cleaning. Lovely.
~Making chocolate cupcakes
~Not sleeping
~And, many other things that I'm not going to bore you with.

Here are some fun pictures we have taken lately.....

Boston asks to hold Kai several times a day. He often tells me "Mom, he smiled at me" and I don't usually believe him, but I guess this picture is proof.
Kai started to whine while we were eating dinner the other night. Kenzie couldn't wait until she was done eating. She grabbed the oranges off her plate and went (spaghetti faced) to console him.
Just a couple cute pictures of Baby Kai. He is getting so big. When I took him to his one month appointment he was 9 lbs.

Boston has been in to making funny faces lately, so when I pulled the camera out to take a couple pictures of Kai we all had to take turns making faces for the camera. (Boston took the one of me.)

Thanks Stranger.

I was at the grocery store with all three kids in the snowy parking lot. I had the car seat in one arm, Kenzie in the other, and Boston holding onto the car seat so I wouldn't lose him and so he wouldn't slip and fall on his butt. We were carefully weaving through cars in the very busy parking lot trying to make it to the front door. When we made it to the sidewalk a man walking toward us said to me, "You are doing a great job."

I know it wasn't hard for him, but it made my day.

The Beginning of the Holidays

The past few weeks have been fun and a little crazy.

Aunt Liz has been here for a couple weeks and it has been wonderful. She is so much fun, the kids adore her and she has helped me more than I can ever thank her for.
Grandma and Grandpa Stephenson and Tawnya came for Thanksgiving week and it was great to visit and spend some time with them.
Aunt Celeste and Aunt Emily stayed with us for a week and the kids really enjoyed playing with them. Kenzie keeps asking "Where Emily go?"

We spent Thanksgiving Day with all our visitors plus the Duffs. It was full of good food and card playing.

Here are some pictures from the past couple weeks.

Baby Kai being cute.
Still cute. :)
Swimming with Grandma, Grandpa, and Tawnya at their hotel.

Kenz, Kai, and Boston with all the Aunties.
Kenzie finishing off my soda at the food court in the mall.
Kai sleeping in his carseat with his new cute blanket from the baby shower the ward had for Kylee and me.
Kenzie dancing in the Tutu Grandma made for her.
My dad's mom (Boston's Great Grandma (Stephenson) George) made this shirt for my dad when he was Boston's age. Boston fell in love with it a few months ago when he found it at my parents' house so they decided to give it to him.

Kai getting ready for Grandma Stephenson to give him a bath.
Mom in the kitchen getting Thanksgiving Dinner all ready for us.
Grandpa with all the little people.
Grandma loving Baby Kai.
More presents from Grandma and Grandpa- It was a "Little People" Nativity Set. I think I may have been more excited than the kids.

Grandpa telling the kids about baby Jesus, the angel, and everything else.
At the park with Grandma, Grandpa, and Tawnya.
I love that it was so WARM the day after Thanksgiving.

Just a couple...

We have been, and still are, busy with Thanksgiving company, but I wanted to post a couple pictures of the kids from last week. Kenzie LOVES to sit in Kai's car seat and swing to eat. Too bad she is too heavy and has already broken the swing. :(

Boston fell asleep holding Kai while I was fixing dinner and I thought it was so cute. There is nothing like a little sleeping baby to put you right to sleep.
Tune in again next week for pictures of Thanksgiving and our fun visitors. YAY!

I'm still getting used to HOW TINY this new little man is. Every time I put him near one of his siblings he just gets tinier somehow. :) Boston absolutely ADORES his new little brother and loves to hold him and talk about "how tiny" every part of him is.

Little Kai in his swing.
Sleeping...he does this A LOT-mostly during the day. :)
Tiny toes are my favorite.
We made cupcakes yesterday-per Boston's request and I think Kenzie had the most fun.
Baby Kai's first bath-in the kitchen sink. He actually enjoyed it...until I took him out of the water-then he SCREAMED.

So fresh and clean in his turtle jammies and WIDE AWAKE.
